Clubs - Odyssey 2 Ball Blade

i have decided a long long time before i pull the trigger on this putter. Unlike driver where you changes every so often; some following the trend (latest greatest) others just blame on the the driver ain't far enough.....hahaha

Before this i was using my trusty Ping Anser 2. I have made the shift from blade to mallet once - a nike OZ putter back in the states. The change wasn't successful - so what made my mind for a change again back to mallet now? well i would say the grass condition in Malaysia isn't that good compared to US greens. Ping blade requires more push to roll the ball and when push to much the ball hops like a basketball on the court, no kidding golf balls do actually hop on malaysian greens.

2 ball blade gives me a little of both mallet and blade putting feel. call me bias but its better than OZ. with the MOI sitting far behind the club face this putter actually gives me lots of roll, not to mention less effort to putt, hence better feel provides better accuracy consistently....that good period. on top of the mallet forgiving feel, it also offers blade control a little; on short putts, you can actually use it as a blade tap the ball on the toe for the soft roll towards the cup. i only own 2 ball putter for weeks and i already can feel the difference. my statistics on average putt per game also came down; i was at 2 putts/game, now putting at 1.7 putts/game.

i sold my OZ long time ago but Anser will be a keeper as i'll need it when i'm back in US for some serious golfing.

needless to say, 2 ball putter has proven to be one of the best Odyssey has to offer. by the way i got the club at a steal price in malaysia. RM395 brand new; a 50% off the market price. Some might not be aware of that Odyssey is a subsidiary of Callaway.
